On November 22, 1955, in broad daylight, the crewboat, Dos Nietas, collided with a drilling barge in tow of the tugboats Lacache and Connie C. Cenac. At the time of the collision the barge was aground and the tugs were trying to free it from the strand. W. A. Richmond, owner of the Dos Nietas, filed a libel against the two tugs in rem and against the Cenac Towing Company, Inc., owner of the tugs, in personam. The district court held that both...
