Title 11, Section 952 of the D.C.Code (Supp. VII) provides in part:

"Proceedings to establish paternity and provide for the support of a child born out of wedlock may be instituted after four months of pregnancy or within two years after the birth of the child * * *: Provided, however, That the time during which the defendant shall be absent from the jurisdiction shall be excluded from the computation of the time within which complaint...
