Appellant, an assistant pressman in the printing trade, was insured by appellee under an accident insurance policy which obligated appellee to pay hospital benefits and a monthly indemnity

"[if] the Insured, while this policy is in force, shall sustain bodily injury which is effected directly and independently of all other causes by accidental means and which injury, within twenty days from the date of accident, causes total and continuous...
