The United States, on January 7, 1950, simultaneously commenced a criminal and a civil action against defendants for violation of Section 2 of the Sherman Act. 15 U.S.C.A. § 2. The former resulted in verdicts of guilty against both defendants and remained "pending" on the docket of this Court until June 17, 1957.
