This action was brought by the plaintiff wife, hereafter referred to as the plaintiff, to recover damages for personal injuries sustained while riding as a passenger on a transit bus belonging to the defendant and operated by one of its employees. The jury returned a verdict in favor of the defendant. Thereafter the trial court gave judgment for the plaintiff and ordered a new trial on the issue of damages only.
