This is a condemnation suit. The State of Texas, as plaintiff, condemned 21.664 acres of land belonging to Robert Baxter Childress and wife, Mary Page Childress, for right of way purposes for Interstate Highway number 20, and also three small tracts as drainage easements. Both parties appealed from the award of the commissioners which was in the sum of $14,615. Upon a trial in the County Court at Law...
