This suit is brought by, or on behalf of the estates of 47 persons, herein referred to as the plaintiffs, who at some time between June 22, 1933, and October 15, 1956, worked as trainmen on the Missouri Pacific Railroad. During that period the railroad was operated by trustees appointed by, and under the supervision and control of, the District Court of the United States for the Eastern District of Missouri.
