This appeal involves the interpretation of Subsection (a), Ark.Stats. § 28-357, Supplement (Section 10 of Act 335 of 1953). The subsection reads as follows:

"In an action in which the mental or physical condition of a party is in controversy, the court in which the action is pending may order him to submit to a physical or mental examination by a physician selected by the petitioner. The order may be only on motion for good cause...
