Appellant was charged in two separate counts with the offense of seriously threatening to take life and with unlawfully carrying a pistol on or about his person.

By agreement, both cases were tried and disposed of in the same trial, which resulted in appellant's conviction in each case. Under the accusation of seriously threatening to take life, his punishment was assessed at a fine of $300 and one year in jail; and under the accusation of...
