Plaintiffs Kyle Bales and Walter R. Buchanan, as co-partners doing business as Buchanan and Bales, filed suit in the Jackson County Circuit Court to recover $2,280 as a balance claimed to be due them by the defendant H. C. Lamberton on account for old dry batteries sold to defendant. The defendant answered and filed a counterclaim in three counts.
