The plaintiffs Carl W. Claeson and Ruth Claeson, husband and wife sued Gilbert H. Hennessey for $7620 claiming a breach of a written contract entered into by the parties on the 5th day of May 1956. The defendant Gilbert H. Hennessey was engaged in the florist business in Springfield, Illinois under the name of Hennessey Florist and had been in business some forty years.
