In November, 1953, A.J. Abbott entered into a joint venture with the defendants Carl Warren and John Randono for the purpose of buying surplus government property in the Hawaiian Islands to be sold by the defendants in Seattle, Washington and Oakland, California. Thereafter, Abbott assigned his interest in the venture to the plaintiff, the Abbott Corporation Limited.
