Appellant Buckner and a number of other individuals were indicted on some 43 counts, charging forgery and grand theft, and conspiracy to commit forgery and grand theft in connection with sales of automobiles. Appellant pleaded not guilty to all eight counts charged against him and he and and his counsel waived trial by jury. At the trial four of the charges were dismissed.
