Appellee, Mayme Jones, filed these actions to recover from appellant, Life and Casualty Insurance Company of Tennessee, as beneficiary under two policies of insurance issued by appellant on the life of appellee's husband, Riley Jones.

The first policy was a regular life policy which provided for payment of $1,000 in case of death. The same policy also contained the following accidental death provision.
