These two expropriation proceedings, which for trial were consolidated, were brought by the State of Louisiana through the department of Highways against William S. Rownd, Jr. and Ford Graham each of whom was the owner of five lots of land on the highway known as State Route No. 33, which extends from Frenier in a generally northwesterly direction across Pass Manchac to Pontchatoula, Louisiana.
