BUCHANAN, Justice.

Robert Davis Hamilton brought this action against Harvey Williams Dinwiddie for damages for personal injuries suffered by the plaintiff in an automobile collision. On trial to a jury held on June 23, 1958, he recovered a verdict against the defendant for $2,500 which the court set aside on the ground that it was too small and ordered a new trial limited to the question of damages. The retrial was had on October 17, 1958, and resulted in a verdict...
