Plaintiff is a farmer and cattle feeder living near Thornton, Cerro Gordo County. In the fall of 1955 he was feeding 177 head of cattle. He had 137 head in one feed lot and 40 head in another. The average weight of the cattle was about 400 pounds. He had purchased the 137 head in October and after running them through his stock fields had placed them in the feed lot on November 15th.
