Plaintiff, a police officer, brought this action for personal injuries allegedly sustained in this state when the cylinder of a revolver, purchased by him in this state from defendant Pitt and manufactured by Smith and Wesson, Inc., a Massachusetts corporation, "exploded and blew apart" during target practice, causing the permanent loss of vision of plaintiff's right eye.
