Ethel Strawbridge, the widow of Edward Strawbridge, filed suit to recover title to a 189 acre tract of land in Matagorda County. Suit was against appellants who were some of the heirs of Edward Strawbridge. There were other heirs of Jane Blades, sister of Edward Strawbridge, who were cited by publication who did not appear in the trial except through the attorney ad litem appointed by the court.
