PAOLINO, Justice.

This is an indictment charging the defendants Anthony Montella, Armando Sementelli, Guido Proia, and William Spirito with conspiracy to violate the election laws. They were found guilty by a jury in the superior court and their motions for a new trial were denied by the trial justice. Thereafter each defendant was sentenced to serve a term of five years in the adult correctional institutions. The case is now before us on the defendants' exceptions...
