The defendants in this case were tried in the circuit court of Genesee county on an information charging them with conspiracy to violate the laws of the State relating to the suppression of gambling. They were convicted by the jury and sentences were imposed. The prosecution followed an investigation conducted in said county by a visiting circuit judge, under the provisions of CLS 1956, § 767.3 (Stat Ann 1954 Rev § 28.943). The statutory provisions...
