Clarence J. Smith was an employee of the W.B. Baker and Company, a subcontractor installing the air conditioning units in a Stockton high school. This high school consisted of several units. Smith fell through the partially completed roof of the boys' large gym and suffered severe injuries. He brought this action against H.E. Anning Company, the roofing subcontractor for the gymnasiums and auditorium, and Barrett and Hilp, the general contractor. The...
