The principal issue involved concerns the effect of the transfers of money by the defendant to the decedent in 1954 and 1955. When determining such issue, the trial court stated:

"There were three payments of money made by the defendant to the deceased; the first on approximately December 15, 1954, in the amount of $15, the second on January 7, 1955, in the amount of $15, and a third payment of $50 on May...
