Plaintiffs (appellants) brought this action to recover damages for the death of their minor daughter, who was killed May 26, 1956, while a guest in an automobile — a Willys Jeepster — owned by the parents of defendant (respondent) Lois Yost. The vehicle at the time of the accident was driven by defendant (respondent) Claire Horton, with the permission of Lois Yost, who was present in the automobile.
