In this action plaintiff, John E. Schmidt, sought to recover damages from defendant, Fontaine Ferry Enterprises, Inc., for personal injuries allegedly caused by the latter's negligence in the operation and maintenance of an amusement device known as a sliding board at its place of business, and upon which plaintiff was riding when he injured himself.
