The Act of July 1, 1937, P. L. 2547, sec. 1, 53 PS § 5301, formerly sec. 2774, provides in part that:

"... any person ... claiming damages from any ... borough ... or other municipality, arising from the negligence of such municipality or any employe thereof, shall, within six (6) months from the date of origin of such claim or within six (6) months from the date of the negligence...
