In this action plaintiff (appellant), Mrs. Mary C. Creech, sought damages in the sum of $50,000 from defendant (respondent), Preston Blackwell, for personal injuries sustained when an automobile driven by defendant struck an automobile driven by plaintiff's husband, in which plaintiff was riding as a passenger, at an intersection of U.
