OPINION BY HIRT, J., June 11, 1958.

In this divorce action the lower court ordered the plaintiff to pay his wife $2,500 for counsel fees in addition to $200 previously awarded. This appeal is from that order.

The Act of May 25, 1933, P.L. 1020, 23 PS § 46, essentially a rescript of prior divorce legislation, provides: ". . . the court may, upon petition, in proper cases, allow a wife . . . reasonable...
