On June 22, 1955, John Randolph Leaman, Jr., instituted suit against the American Oil Company, hereinafter called Amoco, and sought restrictive and mandatory injunctive relief against that corporation. He alleged that he was the owner of two lots of land, together with a residence, and as appurtenant thereto, owned an easement in common with others in a road 30 feet wide that afforded ingress and egress to and from a public highway known as Goodwyn...
