These consolidated causes, which reach us by way of certiorari, were instituted by the incumbent members of the Board of Commissioners for the Lake Borgne Levee District and the Chalmette Back Levee District against the Sheriff and Ex Officio Tax Collector for the Parish of St. Bernard to have the latter enjoined from transferring or remitting to the State Auditor or State Treasurer tax funds amounting to $88,241.72 collected by him for the Lake...
