Plaintiffs in this cause and in the seven companion suits consolidated herewith are carriers by motor vehicle for hire and hold permits authorizing them to operate as contract carriers. Each has on file with the Louisiana Public Service Commission five contracts with various shippers and recently tendered for approval at least one additional agreement (some submitted one, others two).
