Claimant was employed by Syracuse University in a scientific research project concerned with cosmic rays. He was assigned to a laboratory at Echo Lake, Colorado, located in an isolated section of the Rocky Mountains at an altitude of 10,000 feet. The nearest town was 14 miles away.
