By an information filed in the circuit court of Winnebago County, the defendant, Nick Greeley, was charged with having committed statutory rape against a fifteen-year old girl. At the jury trial which followed on May 15, 1957, he was adjudged guilty of this crime and his punishment fixed at ten years imprisonment.
