The first of these two separate actions of tort is against one Treadwell to recover for the conversion of eighteen2 cows which were subject to a chattel mortgage held by the plaintiff. The second action is against Worcester County Trust Company (hereinafter called the trust company) to recover for the conversion by it of ten cows covered by the same chattel mortgage.
