On August 13, 1955, Cormier executed an agreement to sell certain residential property owned by him in Lake Charles to Ben Teer for the sum of $12,600, subject to Teer's being able to secure an FHA loan for the balance of $10,500, needed by him to pay the agreed purchase price.
