Defendant-appellant was convicted by a jury of attempted burglary (second degree) on Saturday, January 4, 1958, of a doctor's office at 526 W. 17th Street, in Santa Ana. The doctor left his office about noon on that day and, as best he could remember, the windows were closed and the screens locked in place.
