This is an employee's original petition for compensation and medical and hospital expenses which was filed on January 29, 1954 with the director of labor under the workmen's compensation act. After a hearing thereon in the office of the director of labor, a decision was entered on May 6, 1954 finding that the petitioner, on or about January 7, 1953, had sustained a ruptured intervertebral disc and ordering the payment of total disability compensation...
