This case grew out of efforts to remove the Sheriff and Tax Collector of Prentiss County under the method prescribed by Chapter 188, Laws of 1956.

Petition was filed in the circuit court seeking a writ of mandamus requiring the board of supervisors to call an election as provided in Chapter 188, Laws of 1956, and to notify the election commissioners to do and perform the things required of them by law...
