Appellant corporation, a retailer of shoes, has a branch store located in the District of Columbia. In June 1956, Mr. Huntsberry, its president, loaned $1,000 to one Jack Abowitz, the president and principal stockholder of Caughey Footwear, a corporation apparently engaged in the manufacture of shoes.
