SIMMONS, Chief Justice.

These appeals involve the construction and application of section 48-628, R.R.S. 1943, of the Employment Security Law. These matters arose, had been determined, and the appeal filed in the district court before the amendment to this section in 1955. The causes were decided in September 1957. Hence we cite the earlier act and call attention to the amendments which are of no effect here.
