This is an appeal from a decree denying the petition of Rose Bubb, surviving spouse, to have set aside to her, as property in lieu of homestead,

"... the sum of $6,000.00 from that certain promissory note heretofore described, made by Jack C. Gumps and Grace L. Gumps, dated October 7, 1952, or its equivalent in value in cash."

Petitioner (appellant) and Alfred E. Bubb were married May 30, 1937. Mr. Bubb was employed at the Puget Sound Navy...
