This proceeding in equity challenges the authority of the selectmen of the town of Brattleboro to validate the vote of a special town meeting to purchase and finance parking facilities. The plaintiff appellant is a taxpayer in that town. He brought his complaint to the Court of Chancery for Windham County to obtain a permanent injunction to restrain the execution of the project affirmatively voted at the meeting.
