The defendant, Albert Horodecki, was tried before a jury in the criminal court of Cook County on an indictment charging him and two others with armed robbery in a tavern on West Sixty-third Street in the city of Chicago on May 13, 1947. The court entered judgment on the jury's verdict of guilty and sentenced him to a term of not less than 25 nor more than 40 years in the penitentiary...
