This is a suit by the appellant upon a $2,000 fire insurance policy covering two dwelling houses and certain furniture. The policy was issued for a term of three years, beginning May 30, 1953, and expiring May 30, 1956. The property was destroyed by fire on June 6, 1956—seven days after the expiration of the contract.
