This action was brought under the Jones Act, 46 U.S.C.A. § 688 to recover damages for injuries sustained by the plaintiff on or about June 4, 1953 when he fell through a deck on the Barge Maitland. The deck had rotted. Defendant's counsel moved for a directed verdict under Rule 50, Fed.Rules Civ.Proc., 28 U.S. C.A. That motion was denied.
