About 8:45 p. m. on January 11, 1955, the plaintiff was a passenger in an automobile owned and driven by Calvin Petersen, which collided with a car of a standing freight train of the defendant Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railroad Company at a grade crossing on Olive Street in Atlantic, Iowa. The plaintiff sustained injuries for which he claims damages. Petersen and the conductor and engineer of the train were made defendants in the action...
