Respondents sued to recover damages for personal injuries sustained by respondent Mary Hess (hereinafter referred to as if she were the sole respondent), as the result of a rear-end automobile collision which occurred at about seven o'clock p.m. on September 22, 1955.

The accident occurred on a Grant county road, known as the "Old Warden Highway," about four miles south of state primary highway No. 18...
