This is a suit to quiet title to certain lands situated in the City of Helena, Montana. The parcel in dispute was originally a part of the placer mining claim of William A. Chessman and Joseph Davis which claim was platted and filed for record in 1872. The Chessman and Davis Placer was divided into numbered lots, the property in question being situated in lot 4.
