Plaintiff, Mrs. Euna McElveen Belshe, wife of William Harvey Belshe, who is the other plaintiff, sustained serious physical injuries when she and a taxicab came into violent contact shortly after midnight in the early morning of September 24, 1953, near the neutral ground of Tulane Avenue at the intersection of South Claiborne Avenue, in New Orleans.
