Plaintiff was a passenger in a car driven by the defendant John Roemer, which collided with another automobile driven by the defendant Harvey Halvorson. The plaintiff brought suit against the two defendants, claiming $56,000 for personal injuries which he suffered in the accident. The jury returned a verdict for the plaintiff in the sum of $3,000, after which he moved in the alternative for a new trial on the issue of damages and, in the event of denial...
